Mutana, which means "The Marketplace" in the Ngemba Group of Languages of Western Cameroon, is a business co-operative rooted in purpose. Mutana Marketplace pays homage to the traditional African We Promote Justice & Fair Trade for the African Communitymarket in function, extending the concept across continents to serve the needs of a worldwide community.

Mutana's purpose and primary function is to facilitate the transfer of goods and services from our producers to our customers. In many cases, this support advances the economic stability of entire villages by offering opportunities for producers such as coffee growers, farmers, seamstresses, craftsmen ... to retain ownership of their products from harvest, through production, right up to the final sale. In doing so, we participate in establishing much needed economic order, thereby achieving growth and economic independence for the community of farmers, coffee growers, seamstresses, and craftsmen.
